FAQs

We hope you will find the following information helpful in answering many of our frequently asked questions regarding rental of Villa Preciosa.

ACCOMMODATION
Unlike other villas, which are rented at a complete price regardless of occupancy, Villa Preciosa permits guests to customise their accommodation requirements. Therefore, in order to best accommodate the needs of groups of different sizes, you may choose to rent Villa Preciosa as a one bedroom sanctuary ideal for couples' escapes or utilise all three bedrooms, perfect for stylish breaks with family and friends. Regardless of the occupancy requirements, Villa Preciosa is always rented exclusively to one party at a time.

Accordingly, the prices listed on the website are based on 1-2 persons, occupying 1 bedroom and are inclusive of all taxes. Additional charges will be incurred for extra guests and/or room occupancy requirements.

PRICES
All prices are in €/Euros.
We reserve the right to revise prices at any time and these will become effective immediately for all reservations taken after the website is updated. No price increases will apply once full payment has been received. Prices are based on a daily rate (minimum one week stay) and are calculated from your arrival date. When the duration of your stay crosses into another season, your price will be calculated on a pro-rata basis.

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY
The maximum occupancy of Villa Preciosa is six (6) guests plus one (1) infant (up to 2 years).

MINIMUM STAY
There in no minimum stay, however the minimum reservation charge is one (1) week.

RESERVATIONS
Booking is confirmed by a 30% deposit of the total rental fee, due within seven (7) days after a Reservation Request Confirmation has been issued.

Upon receipt of the deposit the reservation be deemed valid and a Reservation Confirmation be issued.

The balance of the total rental fee (remaining 70%) must be paid four (4) weeks prior to the rental period start date. Unless previously agreed, non-payment by this time may result in cancellation of the booking and loss of deposit.

Reservations made less than four (4) weeks in advance must pay the full rental fee no later than seven (7) days after the Reservation Request Confirmation has been issued. Please note guests will be notified in advance of any due payments.

We accept payments by wire transfer (transfer details to be provided by email with the Reservation Request Confirmation) and credit card (Visa, MasterCard).

CANCELLATIONS
More than 8 weeks notice – refund of booking deposit.

4-8 weeks before arrival – forfeit of booking deposit.

Less than 4 weeks before arrival – forfeit of total rental fee.

CHILDREN
Due to the large size of the property and the unfenced pool we generally recommend that Villa Preciosa is better suited to adults. While we are happy to welcome your children, please note that the bedrooms do not interconnect and each bedroom/ensuite is an entirely separate suite. Therefore the child must be old enough to stay alone in a suite unsupervised or must share a room with an adult on existing bedding. A cot can be provided for one (1) infant (up to 2 years) in the master bedroom, free of charge.

CAR HIRE
Car hire is recommended.

ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE
We understand that you are at the mercy of airlines when it comes to flight schedules and therefore in order to make your stay with us as stress-free as possible we do not impose strict arrival and departure timeframes. Villa Preciosa is yours from midnight to midnight of each date that you have a paid reservation. However there is a €50 surcharge for arrival and/or departure between 11pm and 7am. Please advise us of your flight information or estimated arrival time when you place your booking.

AIRPORT TRANSFERS
Private airport transfers can be arranged on request.

CLEANING
The twice-weekly cleaning (Mondays and Thursdays) is mandatory and carried out only by our own personnel. There is no additional charge for cleaning.

LINEN
Bed linen, bathroom towels and pool towels are provided for use within the property.

Guests are advised to bring their own beach towels for use outside the property.

SELF-CATERING
Villa Preciosa is rented on a self-catering basis.

CENTRAL HEATING
Should you wish the Villa to be centrally heated, the charge is €210,- per week.

POOL TEMPERATURE
In the warmer months of May to October, the pool maintains a pleasant temperature naturally. In the cooler months however, the heat is generally lost at night and therefore heating of the pool in winter up to 20-22°C is included. Should you wish the water to be even warmer, we can offer temperatures up to 26-28°C. Due to soaring energy prices, however, the expense for the additional heating will be passed on to you at cost.

Since the amount of energy required to heat the pool depends on the prevailing temperature and weather conditions, an exact cost can not be provided. However as a rough guide, heating to 26°C is approximately €50 per day. Please note, the unique shape of the pool does not allow it to be covered and therefore the pool takes a minimum of 2 days to heat. We charge for energy consumption as soon as heating above 22°C commences. To avoid waiting for the pool to heat once you are already in residence, we suggest you request pool heating when you make your reservation so we can ensure the pool is heated in time for your arrival.

DAMAGES
In the unfortunate case of damages to the property (interior or exterior) these will be replaced or repaired by our own staff at the expense of the tenant. Damaged effects may not be replaced or repaired by the tenant. An invoice will be issued to cover any incurred costs.

TELEPHONE
Any support calls to our hostess or to our main office are free of charge. All other calls will be charged additionally at cost.

INTERNET ACCESS
Wifi internet access is free. The access code to the wireless network will be supplied upon arrival.

SMOKING
Smoking inside the villa is strictly prohibited.

PETS
Pets/animals are not permitted.

DATA PROTECTION POLICY
We will never sell, trade or otherwise transfer to third parties the personally identifiable information you provide us with.
